Ruky joins forces with sister to Show Them

Runner-up in Project Fame Season 7, Ruky Olotu, releases a new video, Show Them, which she jointly produced with two other acts, AKEEM LASISI writes
Since she emerged the first runner-up in Project Fame Season 7, Ruky Olotu has been expanding her coast in the music industry. Although she is currently observing her National Youths Service Corps, she has been spotted performing at events in different parts of the country.
More important is the fact that she has just released a video titled Show Them, which she produced alongside her sister – Rouna – and cousin – Rubunu – with whom she formed a group called R-Cube.
She still has a beautiful memory of Project Fame, which, she notes, boosted her confidence and expanded her horizon. According to her, the network she built in the Project Fame Academy and during the competition proper has continued to influence her career positively.

She says, “Project Fame gave me the platform to meet other people and really enter the music industry. I have been able to meet quite a number of celebrities and music stars. In all, it’s been good. I’ve actually been happier after Project Fame and I have become more confident as an artiste.”
She says R-Cube is not out to oppress anyone in Show Them. Rather, the song is meant to encourage anyone to be content with what they have.
Show Them is basically a contract between one and the person who will wear the Versace dress that he bought from Aba market and the person who wears a Versace dress that he bought from a Versace shop. They will wear it and people might not even know the difference.
“They will wear it and will go to the same place and event. We are saying that whatever you value and whatever you have, you should offer the world.
“We are saying you don’t have to go and kill to belong. We should be content with what we have.”
Although Ruky intends to keep the collabo with the sister and cousin alive, she says each of them still has her own individual self. Each still does her own thing, while the three still work as a band.
