Does Love Fluctuate??

69figures
Love, the golden word that binds all and heals all.
Love, just a bit of it would make the world a better place.
Love, that sweet poison which makes us do crazy meaningless things.
Ever seen a full grown man breakdown in public and shed oceans of tears, uncontrollably, without shame, bereft of remorse.
Have you ever lost the desire to eat, sleep, or even keep living over the loss (breakup) of a loved one?
Love, something so special, so divine, so sanguine, damn near perfect. God’s greatest gift to man (more so evident in the sacrifice of his only son).
In the past, I used to have a witty and somewhat realistic definition of love; A four letter word that guys use to get into girls’ pants.
I used to resist and fight love, and even the urge to fall in love.
I was so certain of this naive assumption that I brandished it about with careless abandon to whomever cared to pay attention, until nature had its way with me.
69figures
I fell in love with a beautiful and extremely appealing girl and we didn’t make love until 8 months after we started dating (Lol, i wasn’t slow nor impotent).
I was deeply in love and I was willing to wait till she was ready emotionally, physically and psychologically.
Obviously this experience changed my rebellious view on love, it killed the fight in me and sent me falling, crashing in love, never to rise again.
Why then should something this beautiful, pure, and selfless fluctuate? Maybe it is subject to the ever constant ‘change’ or the forever present ‘law of gravity’.
Does love really fluctuate? I think it does, for me at least, and every other man I know. Anyone who has ever been in a love steeped relationship (the exemption of friends with benefits) must and will have experienced the highs and lows of love.
There are periods when the feeling of love is so intense, so thick, so strong, that we (guys) would see an extremely endowed woman with a buttocks the size of Nicki Minaj’s and you won’t even give her a second look.
That is love at its best, highest, purest peak. There are times when it (love) is so low you would wonder “what the heck am I doing with her”.
At that point, all her previously benign flaws will be magnified in your eyes.
69figures
Love certainly has different levels of intensity and it would only be hypocritical and unrealistic of us to deny this, consequently and unconsciously telling the young ones that it is forever a blissful phenomenon, nah, not possible.
There is fantasy love and true love. Fantasy love might not fluctuate, might not waiver, might even never bicker, but trust me, it is fickle deep down and can’t last, never.
True love on the other hand is sometimes sweet, sometimes sad, sometimes fraught with ups and downs, but at the end of the day, you know you have something real, worth fighting for.
Love tends to fluctuate over weeks, months, and years. Basically, over time. Even in one day or an hour, love can and does fluctuate.
Tell me you’ve never been with your partner for about a couple of hours and not felt bored and indifferent at some point, hell, even tired of them.
You’re nodding, yeah, that’s it, that’s the fluctuation.
The fluctuation does not mean that love disappears from the relationship. It is natural for love to fluctuate from time to time in human relationships, whether we want it or not, like it or not.
Some say if love fluctuates,  it never was love,  but I say , if love doesn’t fluctuate, doesn’t waiver,  how do you test its limit? its depth? its validity? How do you? My friends, the moment you realize that love fluctuates in relationships, the better equipped you will be, relationship-wise.

Take It Off: Your Hair-Removal Guide

69figures.blogspot.com

Nicks, redness, stink, sting: These side effects have always made hair removal a necessary evil—emphasis on evil. But this season, good prevails: The latest advances are making the dreaded process not only easier, but even skin-friendly. "In the past, there was little thought placed on skin condition, and the main goal was just to remove hair," says Anne Chapas, M.D., director of Union Square Laser Dermatology and a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at NYU Medical Center. Read on to learn how to say sayonara to stubble and get softer, healthier skin at the same time.

The Technique: Shaving

The latest: New razors come with improved lubricating bars that help cut down on irritation (and shaving cream). The Venus & Olay Razor contains glycerin and petrolatum, a combo found in Olay's body lotions, which "helps condition the skin, so it'll look and feel better," says Baltimore dermatologist Noelle S. Sherber, M.D. And the Schick Hydro Silk razor, ($10, at drugstores), emits a seaweed-rich serum that "helps moisturize and provides anti-inflammatory effects."
Lasts for: One day—then pesky stubble appears
Best for: Legs—you can cover a lot of ground fast.
69figures
Get it right: "Skin needs to be wet for seven minutes to soften the hair," says Boston dermatologist Ranella Hirsch, M.D. (Any longer and your skin might swell, making it harder to get a close shave, says Sherber.)
The Technique: Waxing
The latest: Honey waxes of the past weren't so sweet for your skin. They were hydrating but sticky—and, says Sherber, "the stickier the wax, the more it tugs on the skin, which leads to more irritation and pain." Hard, resin-based waxes are the smarter choice: "They wrap only the hair, rather than sticking to—and yanking off—your fragile skin. Plus, some have skin-calming lavender and azulene," says Cindy Barshop, owner of Completely Bare Spas in New York City and Dallas. Try Gigi Brazilian Body Hard Wax

Lasts for: Four to six weeks
Best for: Any area—especially the bikini line and underarms. "Puberty makes the hair in these areas grow in thick and coarse, which makes it more prone to ingrowns," says Sherber. When you pull out hair from the root—as opposed to shaving it off—it grows back straighter, slashing the risk that it will curl back in and form a bump.
Get it right: Ditch abrasive scrubs and acids (alpha hydroxy, lactic glycolic, and salicylic) one week before waxing. "If you don't, you risk tearing the skin, because these exfoliants can make skin more fragile," says Sherber. The ouch factor is higher just before your period too, so time your treatment midcycle or take two 220-milligram naproxen capsules an hour before waxing to decrease pain.
The Technique: Depilatories
The latest: Older depilatories tried (and failed) to mask the stench of the active ingredient, thioglycolate, with perfume-y notes. But new formulas are less offensive: "Special molecules are attached to the thioglycolate, making it so large that your nose can't detect it," says Jim Hammer, a cosmetic chemist. Try Sally Hansen Pure Scent-Sation Hair Remover Cream for Body;, which is also infused with the anti-inflammatories bisabolol, vitamin E, and aloe to help prevent redness.
Lasts for: Approximately three to five days
Best for: Bump-prone areas like the bikini line. "Razors leave sharp tips that can push back into the skin—depilatories don't," says Chapas.
Get it right: Look for ones containing calcium—not potassium—thioglycolate. Though it takes a bit longer to work, it's gentler on the skin, says Bernadette Devaney, a manager of skin-care research and development at Nair.
The Technique: Lasering
The latest: Though the procedure still isn't totally painless, most new machines nix a bit of the sting with a cooling spray that numbs the area. Also, says Chapas, "one like the Candela GentleLASE treats a large area at once and at a higher energy, so each appointment takes less time." (You'll still need around six treatments to see full results.)
Lasts for: Years, with maintenance appointments every 12 months
Best for: Any area, as long as you have dark body hair. "Lasers target only pigmented hair, so they won't work if yours is red or blonde," says Chapas. Unlike older models, some newer lasers can be safe for dark hair on any skin tone, but experts stress that they're still the most effective on those with lighter skin tones and dark hair.
Get it right: The results are cumulative, so stick with it: Get a treatment  once every four weeks and you'll see a 15 percent reduction in hair growth each time. You can boost the effects with Vaniqa, a prescription cream that slows hair growth. "It works great in conjunction with any hair-removal method, but research shows it's particularly effective when used with a laser," says Sherber.

Gay priest to be stripped of duties at Vatican

www.69figures.blogspot.com
Rome (CNN)A Polish priest who served with the Vatican's doctrinal arm will no longer be able to carry out his duties after announcing he is gay on the eve of a major Church meeting, a Vatican spokesman said.

With his partner at his side, Monsignor Krysztof Olaf Charamsa held a press conference Saturday in Rome, calling on Pope Francis to revise Catholic doctrine on homosexuality, which considers same-sex relationships sinful.
Charamsa, 43, said the timing of the announcement was intended to put the topic before the Synod of Bishops. The three-week assembly of bishops from around the world beginning Sunday will address issues facing Catholic families.
"My decision of 'coming out' is a very personal decision in the homophobic world of the Catholic Church. It has been very difficult and very hard. I ask that you keep in mind this reality that is difficult to understand for anyone who has not lived through an identical passage in their own life," Charamsa told reporters.
"The timing is not intended to pressurize anyone, but maybe a good pressure, in fact a Christian participation, a Christian voice that wants to bring to the synod the response of the homosexual believers to the questioning of Pope Francis."
Since 2003, Charamsa has been a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which is tasked with promoting and defending Church doctrine. Born in 1972 in Gdynia, Poland, Charamsa also serves as assistant secretary of the International Theological Commission and teaches theology at two of Rome's Pontifical universities, the Gregorian and the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina
"Every homosexual person is a son of God," he said. "This is the will of God for our life, also for my life with him."
The public revelation from a senior priest associated with the Vatican is a direct challenge to the Church's "don't ask, don't tell" attitude toward homosexuality, experts observed. Charamsa's admission presents two issues: his sexual orientation and his apparent violation of his celibacy vow in acknowledging he has a partner.
"Most objectionable of all, for the Vatican, was the publicity he sought out, with the expressed desire to influence the outcome of the Synod of Bishops on the Family," journalist John Thavis, author of "The Vatican Diaries," wrote on his blog.

    'Serious and irresponsible' timing

While showing little inclination to adjust church teaching on homosexuality, Pope Francis has often emphasized mercy over judgment. In 2013, for example, he famously said, "Who am I to judge" gay priests who seek to do God's will.
    www.69figures.blogspot.com
He also reportedly met with a transgender man from Spain in January of this year. In his recent visit to the United States, Francis held a private meeting with a longtime friend from Argentina who has been in a same-sex relationship for 19 years. At the same time, the Vatican has refused to recognize France's ambassador to the Holy See, Laurent Stefanini, who is openly gay.
Following Charamsa's announcement, the Vatican said in a statement that Charamsa "will certainly be unable" to continue in his role with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and the Pontifical universities.
Charamsa's role in the Catholic church will be determined by his superior, known as a diocesan bishop or ordinary, who will carry out an investigation that will be submitted to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
"The decision to make such a pointed statement on the eve of the opening of the Synod appears very serious and irresponsible, since it aims to subject the Synod assembly to undue media pressure," Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said.
"Monsignor Charamsa will certainly be unable to continue to carry out his previous work in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the faith and the Pontifical universities, while the other aspects of his situation shall remain the [responsibility] of his diocesean Ordinary."

Americas Polygamist sect 'demands husbands watch while seed bearers impregnate their wives'

Only “elect” men of a “worthy blood line" may impregnante women, according to Charlene Jeffs' custody petition

Warren Jeffs during his trial in 2007 head the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Douglas C. Pizac-Pool/Getty Images

A polygamist sect has been accused of only allowing elected “seed bearers” to have sex with women, according to a child custody petition filed by estranged wife of the group's day-to-day leader.
The custody petition, obtained by The Salt Lake Tribune, describes a group of followers called “seed bearers” in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a breakaway Mormon sect.
In the document, "seed bearers" are defined as “elect” men of a “worthy blood line chosen by the Priesthood to impregnate” women.
According to Charlene Jeffs, the estranged wife of Lyle Jeffs who now oversees the sect, a new doctrine means “FLDS men are no longer permitted to have children with their multiple wives".
"That privilege belongs to the seed bearer alone," the document says.
“It is the husband’s responsibility to hold the hands of their wives while the seed bearer 'spreads his seed’.
“In layman terms, the husband is required to sit in the room while the chosen seed bearer, or a couple of them, rape his wife or wives.

The FLDS, formerly led by Lyle Jeffs's brother, Warren Jeffs, gained global attention in 2006 when US authorities accused Warren Jeffs of sexual offences against girls he took as wives.
The sect’s large Texas ranch was raided by authorities in 2008, when police took more than 460 children from the property, including mothers who were under 18.
Warren Jeffs was convicted of “sexual assault” and “aggravated sexual assault” of two girls aged 12 and 15 in 2011. He was sentenced to life in prison plus an additional 20 years.
He is still believed to lead the sect from prison, Sam Bower a private investigator who has followed FLDS activities for 10 years toldCNN, although his brother oversees its day-to-day activities.
Bower told CNN he could confirm similar reports of “seed bearers” through his own sources.
He said: “It’s ritualistic procreation performed on a ritualistic bed-slash-alter.”
Bower also claimed Warren Jeffs had withheld all relationships between husbands and wives.
“Any touching between spouses outside rituals like these, even a simple handshake, can now be considered adultery in the church,” he said.
According to CNN, Utah juvenile court records are not normally available to the public. It is therefore unknown whether any other documents were filed disputing Charlene Jeff’s allegations.
The judge at the custody hearing ruled that both Lyle Jeffs and Charlene Jeffs would share custody of their two teen children, with the children living with their mother, The Salt Lake Tribunereported.

Emeka Ojukwu: Soldier who led his people into the war of Biafran independence

Ojukwu addresses the media in 1967 at the start of the disastrous war

The image so often associated with Africa – a child with stick-thin limbs and swollen belly – dates back to the first televised famine, the Biafran war. The man who understood the power of that image was an Oxford-educated Nigerian soldier, Emeka Ojukwu.
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, to use his full name, proclaimed the short-lived Republic of Biafra in 1967. His demeanour of a gentleman-rebel standing up to the Nigerian Goliath appealed to western intellectuals such as Frederick Forsyth and Kurt Vonnegut Jr. A Swedish count built and flew planes for the tiny country's air force and its struggle for independence inspired the French humanitarian Bernard Kouchner to create Médecins Sans Frontières.
The son of one of Nigeria's most successful transport entrepreneurs, Ojukwu was from the Igbo tribe but was born in Zungeru, in the north of the country. He received the best education – King's College, Lagos; Epsom College, Surrey and Lincoln College, Oxford, where he graduated with honours in history in 1955. He refused to go into his father's business and instead spent two years as an unglamorous administrative officer in the Eastern Nigerian public service.
In 1957, Ojukwu joined the Royal West African Frontier Forces as a recruit. He rose rapidly through the ranks, ending his training at Sandhurst at the time of Nigerian independence in 1960. Under British indirect rule, Nigeria had been crudely divided along tribal lines: politics was for the northern Hausa tribe, commercial clout was the preserve of the supposedly industrious Yorubas on the south-western coast and education was for the administratively inclined Igbos in the east of the country.
Unhappy at northern heavy-handedness and discrimination, Igbo officers staged a coup in 1966 andinstalled Ojukwu as governor of the Eastern Region, which includes the oil-rich Niger delta. When the counter-coup came six months later, Ojukwu refused to step down.
Under pressure from Igbo militants he declared independence for the 29,000 square-mile region on 30May 1967. A flag was designed, featuring a rising sun. A currency was issued and the beginnings of a welfarestate were put in place. Ojukwu personally chose a movement from Jean Sibelius's Finlandia as the tune to the national anthem, in reference tothe Nordic country's resistance toforeign domination.
Ojukwu addresses the media in 1967 at the start of the disastrous war

But the region's oil wealth made Biafran independence intolerable to Nigeria and the international community. A futile two-and-a-half-year war cost thousands of lives as Nigeria created famine conditions and enlisted British and Soviet support against a ragtag army equipped with home-made military hardware.
Vonnegut described Ojukwu asBiafra's George Washington. He wrote: "When we met General Ojukwu, hissoldiers were going into battle with 35 rounds of rifle ammunition. There was no more where that came from. For weeks before that, they had beenliving on one cup of gari a day. The recipe for gari is this: Add water to pulverized cassava root. Now the soldiers didn't even have gari anymore. General Ojukwu described a typical Nigerian attack for us: 'They pound a position with artillery for 24 hours, then they send forward one armoured car. If anybody shoots at it, it retreats, and another 24 hours of bombardment begins. When the infantry moves forward, they drive a screen of refugees before them. If we go forward, we die. If we go backward, we die. So we go forward'".
The American writer was among a dozen intellectuals invited by Ojukwu to witness the Biafran war in a bid to influence western public opinion and secure airlifts of food. Another was Forsyth whose biography of him, Emeka, was published in 1982.
By 1969, Biafra was on its knees and Ojukwu fled into exile in Ivory Coast. Twelve years later he was granted a pardon and returned to Nigeria where he formed the All Progressives Grand Alliance and ran for president in 2003 and 2007. In 2008, he received his military pension from the Nigerian government but complained that it ranked him as a lieutenant-colonel rather than as a general, his rank in the Biafran army.
In Nigeria, Ojukwu's legacy islargely viewed as positive for having stood up for his ethnic group, having proved incorruptible and havingessentially personified the country's view of itself as constantly riven along ethnic lines. After his death at the Royal Berkshire Hospital – where he had been admitted following a stroke in December 2010 – President Goodluck Jonathan paid him a glowing tribute: "Ojukwu'simmense love of his people, justice, equity and fairness forced him into the leading role he played in the Nigerian civil war."
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, soldier and politician: born Zungeru, Nigeria 4 November 1933; married firstly Njideka, second Stella Onyeador, thirdly Bianca Onoh; (several children); died Reading, Berkshire 26 November 2011.

Ruky joins forces with sister to Show Them

Runner-up in Project Fame Season 7, Ruky Olotu, releases a new video, Show Them, which she jointly produced with two other acts, AKEEM LASISI writes
Since she emerged the first runner-up in Project Fame Season 7, Ruky Olotu has been expanding her coast in the music industry. Although she is currently observing her National Youths Service Corps, she has been spotted performing at events in different parts of the country.
More important is the fact that she has just released a video titled Show Them, which she produced alongside her sister – Rouna – and cousin – Rubunu – with whom she formed a group called R-Cube.
She still has a beautiful memory of Project Fame, which, she notes, boosted her confidence and expanded her horizon. According to her, the network she built in the Project Fame Academy and during the competition proper has continued to influence her career positively.

She says, “Project Fame gave me the platform to meet other people and really enter the music industry. I have been able to meet quite a number of celebrities and music stars. In all, it’s been good. I’ve actually been happier after Project Fame and I have become more confident as an artiste.”
She says R-Cube is not out to oppress anyone in Show Them. Rather, the song is meant to encourage anyone to be content with what they have.
Show Them is basically a contract between one and the person who will wear the Versace dress that he bought from Aba market and the person who wears a Versace dress that he bought from a Versace shop. They will wear it and people might not even know the difference.
“They will wear it and will go to the same place and event. We are saying that whatever you value and whatever you have, you should offer the world.
“We are saying you don’t have to go and kill to belong. We should be content with what we have.”
Although Ruky intends to keep the collabo with the sister and cousin alive, she says each of them still has her own individual self. Each still does her own thing, while the three still work as a band.
