15 SEX TIPS FROM THE BEDROOMS OF REAL WOMEN

If you want to know what real women think and dream about in the bedroom, we got the scoop for you right here.

You don't need a special occasion to be the reason you go all-out in the bedroom. It may seem more romantic, but odds are one of you will be too drunk after weddings and holiday parties to have a good quality romp. Make sex exciting all the time by breaking out of the cookie-cutter positions and listening to your girl. Do you know what she really wants between the sheets? She’s definitely fantasized about it before, you just need to tease it out of her.

The key to unleashing her greatest orgasm ever may require a lot of bells and whistles (a la 50 Shades of Grey) or it may be simpler than you think. We asked real women for their favorite form of foreplay, sex, and more so you can end the night with a grand finale, not a flop.

Get In The (Erogenous) Zone

“Never underestimate the power of a few well-placed kisses. It drives me crazy when my boyfriend starts kissing the nape of my neck and gently nibbling on my ear lobe – I get tingles all the way down to clitoris. After a few minutes I’m literally begging him to just put it in.”

Talk Dirty “You don’t have to save all the naughty stuff for the bedroom. If you’re out at a fancy dinner, tell your girl how badly you want her across the table. If you’re at a bar, put your hand on her ass and tell her the things you’ll do to her when you get home. Telling women how desirable they are will give them the confidence to act out all your dirty fantasies later.

Be A Boob Man “It drives me insane when my boyfriend takes the time to pay attention to my boobs. I don’t just mean grabbing, I mean kissing and licking until my nipples are hard and then giving them little bites. By that time I’m usually so wet that just a little fingering will make me cum—and the times he’s bitten down while his hand is down there I’ve had the most mind-blowing orgasms ever.”
Touch Yourself  “I know it may sound strange, but watching my boyfriend get himself off is such a turn on. I’ll start by lying down naked next him, my body against his, and play with his member until he gets hard. Then I put his hand down there and just rub my body against him and watch. I think it makes me so hot 'cause it’s kind of taboo, something he would do in private, but I also like actually seeing how much I turn him on.”
Let Her Take Charge When my fiancé and I are doing it missionary I usually feel as if I’m on the brink of coming and it makes me go totally wild. I’ll push him back so I can get on top, place my arms on his to hold them down, and just ride him hard until I cum—and keeping eye contact the whole time makes it extra intense. So my note to guys is, there’s nothing wrong with lying back and just enjoying the view.”
Get Wet “Everyone talks about shower sex, but on nights when it’s cold out or on a lazy Sunday draw a bath and get in together. Since you’re both in the water you don’t have to worry about the water flying in your face or one of you getting cold. Adding bubbles is a nice touch, too. Since some of your body is hidden, it helps with loosening inhibitions.”
Women Like Porn, Too “It doesn’t happen often, but every now and then when my husband and I are feeling especially frisky we’ll put some porn on. We’ll take turn getting on our knees and going down on each other while the other sits on the couch and the finish by going at it doggy style.”
Doggy Style 2.0 “My favorite sex position is when I lie down on the bed and a guy takes me from behind. Keeping a steady rhythm and grabbing my ass real tight will usually end with us coming at the same time and pretty quickly—it’s that good.” confessed by a Nollywood actress, Nuella Njubigbo
Find The Spot “If a guy is going down on me I love when they take time to kind of ‘explore’ what’s going down there instead of just incessantly rubbing or poking. Gently licking my clit and then slowly rubbing it until I orgasm is just so intense, and it makes me feel like my partner cares about making me get off.”
Dirty Spooning “I love waking up after a good night’s rest with my boyfriend spooning—and being able to feel how hard he is. Instead of just acting like neither of us notices, I love when he gently grabs my thigh and starts touching me down there. When he puts it in, the nice, tight fit from that angle makes it feel incredible for both us.”
Set Her Fantasies in Motion “There have been a few times during sex where I’ve admitted to my boyfriend that I want him to tie my hands up one night and just take me. I’m a little too shy to actually instigate it, though, like to actually buy handcuffs or rope ahead of time. Then one night as we were about to get it on my boyfriend reached in the bedside table and told me he had a surprise for me—and brought out two silk scarves to tie my hands with. The fact that he got my fantasy ready-to-go was as amazing as the experience actually felt.”
Don’t Get Comfortable “Some of the hottest sex my husband and I have is right when we get home from work. There’s something incredibly hot about him propping me up on his lap on the couch while we’re both still in our work clothes. So I’d tell guys not to bother with the undressing. Just pull your girl’s stockings down, unzip your pants and do it. Getting dirty while you’re still in that office—mind frame and outfit kind of makes you feel like you're in your own porn movie.”
Open The Toy Chest “I love a man who isn’t intimidated by sex toys. If you know your girl has some, ask her to bring them out and let you be the one to pleasure her with them. For me, since I usually use my vibrator alone and on myself, it feels like I’m letting a guy in on naughty little secret when I let him be the one to tease me with it. And of course, nothing actually feels better than the last minute of substituting the toy for the real thing.”
69 Redux “I feel like the 69 position gets called out a lot for be ‘outdated,’ (and it definitely isn’t!), but why not switch it up a bit? I love when a guy straddles me so that his member is right against my mouth and I can give him a blowjob from that angle or stick out my tongue and have him tap his stuff against it…it really is a turn on for both us.”
Brave The Elements “Everyone talks about taking sex al fresco in the summer, but it’s actually so hot and sticky then and do you want to spend half the time batting away mosquitos? I much prefer going on an autumn hike, working up a little sweat, and then having a quickie out in the elements. The feel of cold air against your skin is honestly exhilarating—and even more spontaneous than just getting it on at the beach after dark.”

WHAT'S REALLY KILLING YOUR SEX DRIVE

Watch out for these things that could be ruining your mojo.

Having a low sex drive sucks, and it’s even worse having to talk about it with your doctor or partner. Unfortunately, if you’re experiencing a low sex drive, there aren't many options. But before you pour your heart out to a doctor (or before you inadvertently ruin your libido), we talked to Dr. Birgit M. Fisher, a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in the treatment of sexual disorders and Core Associate Professor at the University of the Rockies, and Dr. Gary Martz, a practitioner in General Adult Psychiatry in Denver about what could potentially throw your sex drive into "park." For now, you can just sit back and read up on some surprising things that are (and aren’t) affecting your sex drive, and how you can get back on track in the sack.

ANTI-DEPRESSANTS; Anti-depressants have a bad rap for
messing with mojo, but often medical side effects are not to blame. Most people actually have something called Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder, which is just another name for low sex drive. It’s important to remember that men wanting sex all the time is not based in fact. Men have different libidos, different biological sex drives and desires, and just because they don’t want sex, doesn’t mean something is wrong. However, any medications used to lower testosterone, like those used to treat prostate cancer, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs), like paroxetine and fluoxetine, and serotonin and norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitors (SNRIs), like venlafaxine. Also lithium, benzodiazephines, antihypertensives, cardiovascular drugs, and lipid-lowering meds like gemfibrozil, could alter sex drive. While there isn’t a lot of evidence that supplements lower sex drive, scientists have found that people who take St. John’s Wort notice a lower libido. It’s always good to check the labels on anything you take, or ask your doctor or pharmacist if you’re concerned.

ALCOHOL AND CAFFEINE; Booze and caffeine can lower your
sex drive, but it depends on how much you are ingesting, how often and any underlying psychiatric issues. Caffeine, a stimulant, can aggravate underlying anxiety conditions, which can lessen desire for sex. Lots of alcohol is bad for libido, erectile function and orgasmic function. But in smaller amounts (especially for men who experience anxiety), alcohol might increase libido.
EXERCISE; Everyone knows that too little exercise can lower sex drive, but too much can, too. Excessive exercise that leads to conditions akin to eating disorders and Body Dysmorphic Disorder can have a negative impact on sex drive, putting your body into a negative, catabolic-like state. Overall, being fit helps people feel sexy, so moderate exercise is good. Bonus points if the exercise contains some sort of erotic element. For women, that’s salsa and tango, while men are more interested in traditional bodybuilding. Yoga
has been known to increase sexual interest and enhances sexual pleasure. According to a review published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy, yoga has even been reported to stimulate genital blood flow, which enhances erectile capacity and may improve orgasms. And obviously yoga is a huge de-stresser, which can stave off low sex drive as well. Find Supplements to Improve Your Sexual Health at GNC Live Well >>>

PORNOGRAPHY; Repeated viewing of porn or even just associated masturbation can cause over-stimulation of dopamine, the neurotransmitter that triggers sexual pleasure. If this happens over and over, it becomes harder for the brain to respond. This can be reversed by avoiding pornography and sticking to a healthier masturbating pattern. It might sound easy, but men often have a hard time self-regulating this behavior, which is why often people seek professional help.

EMOTIONS; If you’re in a rough patch with your partner, it might be
the culprit, lessening sex drive even in men who once had a healthy one, as a form of self-protection. If you sense a wall, identify what’s bothering you and talk to your partner about it, or seek professional help. You do have to address the issues, though. Avoiding the conversation might make your partner feel rejected or even suspect you’re being unfaithful.
PARENTHOOD; Since sleep deprivation and exhaustion negate sexual interest, new moms and dads often experience a hit to their sex drive. And
while fathers are spared from physiological changes other than being busy, sleep deprived and anxious, a woman has significant hormonal volatility post-delivery and breastfeeding will increase the level of prolactin, the hormone that stimulates milk production and lowers sex drive. Plus, baby weight often makes new-moms uncomfortable with their new bodies, adding another barrier to intimacy.

OVERNIGHT EXPERT: HOW TO TALK DIRTY

Maybe you planning phone sex, sex or foreplay, talking dirty takes tact. Not sure where to start? Use these expert tips to learn what to say—and when.
69figures

Guys get a bad rap for being brazen about all things related to sex, but when it comes to talking dirty, shyness is the biggest barrier to giving it a shot—and seriously enhancing your bonding time in the bedroom. “The number one issue that comes up with guys who call into my radio show about this topic is that they want to do it—especially if their girlfriend is game—but they’re afraid that they’re going to cross some line and end up offending her,” says psychotherapist Dr. Jenn Berman, who hosts The Love and Sex Show with Dr. Jenn and VH1’s Couples Therapy. An easy way to get over a fear of offending her: Learn how to ace a more explicit conversation so you’ll be confident when it comes to turning her on with words alone. Use these expert tips to ensure that your strategy for expressing your sexual desires is tactful, not trashy.
Break the ice

Talking dirty is an intimate experience, so delve into it with your girlfriend, not the girl you met at the bar two nights ago. If you’re feeling shy about bringing up the subject, Berman advises starting out with something like this: “Hey, I was thinking about talking dirty and wanted to know if that’s something you’re game to try.” If she says yes, proceed slowly with something along the lines of, “Awesome, I’m so excited you’re into that. But I want to make sure I don’t cross any lines. Are there any words that you’re not okay with?”

Set boundaries

It’s not the sexiest stage of dirty talk, but getting a feel for what words turn her on—and off—will ensure you don’t offend her. (And trust us—doing your homework will pay off in the end.) Ask her what she’d like to hear. If she’s shy in her responses, gauge her comfort level by running through words and phrases that could come up in future conversations. Remember that there’s no magic formula for R-rated dialogue—one woman may be repulsed by a certain word, while another woman will be all about it.
Just don’t get too hung up on the vocab, warns Berman. “Honestly, it’s not about the words,” she says. “It’s really a matter of knowing who you’re talking dirty with and making sure everyone is on the same page. Because once you go through the vocabulary, you can really cut loose and have fun.”

Get inspired

We get it—the hardest part about talking dirty isn’t getting your girlfriend’s permission, it’s coming up with what to say. If you need ideas, erotic literature is a good place to start. Berman suggests checking out author Nancy Friday’s collection of men’s and women’s sexual fantasies.

And don’t be afraid to make research a joint activity: “Whether it’s female-friendly erotica or an X-rated magazine like Penthouse Forum, dive into a read with her to find out what scenarios and lines turn her on,” suggests Dr. Yvonne K. Fulbright, sexologist and Sexual Wellness and Relationship Ambassador for Astroglide. “Ask what she’d be up for recreating or what she would like to hear you say.”

If books, movies, and magazines just aren’t doing it for you, try this no-fail tactic: “Describe what you’re doing or what you want to do,” suggests Berman. “That tends to be 90 percent of what people do when they’re talking dirty.”

Ease into the explicit, every time

Even if she’s more than down to try some dirty talk, that’s not your cue to go full steam ahead. “Don't just dive into dropping the ‘f-bomb’ or getting nasty,” says Fulbright. “Start by titillating her with tamer words, getting a feel for the mood she's in and just how far she wants for things to go.”

Keep her guessing
“Whether you’re caught up in the moment or simply lacking creativity, saying the same thing over and over again can make sex feel more like a porn flick and less like a ‘we’ moment,” notes Fulbright. Her advice: Stay present and make sure you’ve got plenty of erotic words and phrases to choose from. It’ll keep you from sounding like a broken record, which can be a turn off.

Don’t freak out if it doesn’t work
If pillow talk makes you and your girlfriend feel more silly than sexy, don’t beat yourself up over it. “Ultimately, if you decide that talking dirty isn’t our thing, still having gone there and taken that risk will bring you closer together and make your sex life better no matter what,” says Berman.

4 Things In Every Porn You Should Never Do In Real Life

4 Things In Every Porn You Should Never Do In Real Life

For approximately, oh, the entirety of civilization, we've been pretty bad at teaching people about sex. When you got The Talk from the middle-school woodshop teacher you bought cigarettes from, it probably mostly involved cautionary tales about his wicked case of super-herpes and very little about what people actually do in bed. All we've really got is porn, which is the absolute worst way to learn how to rub genitals together. Porn is a fantasy by necessity. Therefore, sometimes porn stars do things that are so far removed from reality that it actually takes me out of it and I can't even enjoy it anymore, kind of like the Wilhelm Scream in regular movies, but with just so much more dick.

And -- God help us all -- they've shown up on screen so often, people have started thinking those bizarre little porn tropes are what sex is. I beg of you, unless you have your partner's enthusiastic approval and cooperation, do not ever try ...

#4. Slapping Someone's Genitals

Let's get this out of the way -- slapping a penis or a vagina is not about BDSM. It's ridiculous that in 2015 I even have to say that there's nothing wrong with that between informed and consenting adults. What's weird is that this happens in totally non-BDSM scenarios, in the throes of regular, everyday passion. You see, kids, when a man and woman really love money, sometimes they'll be engaging in perfectly boring, average naked-time shenanigans on film when suddenly a vagina gets slapped. The woman squeals, the shenanigans resume, and that's how misconceptions are made.

When the young, male masturbaters that make up porn's target audience grow up and find themselves between the legs of an actual woman who isn't getting paid to react to sex with the excitement of hitting the Powerball, they'll often be under the impression that this is a thing most women enjoy, and the unsuspecting victim is going to end up very confused, because why? Why would you think that feels good? It doesn't even feel bad, particularly, but it's like you've just interrupted whatever presumably enjoyable activity you were just engaging in to poke me in the eye. Just, why would you do that?

"This sex yes?"

I'm positive that if you polled a representative sample of women, "I just love having my vagina manually assaulted" is not something you're going to hear often, though there are undoubtedly women who are into this. That's not saying much. Stand up, spin three times, and point at the first object you see -- there's someone who likes rubbing their crotch on that. (Hopefully not that specific one; you'll have to work that out with your roommate.) Just because you knew one woman who totally loved this doesn't mean you should spring it on someone unawares.

This is particularly common among those relatively inexperienced in the ways of sex -- something worked one time, so by God, you're sticking to it; it's all you've got. And don't confuse the absence of objection with enjoyment: You'd be surprised by the number of women willing to shrug off a little labia-spankin' in the spirit of not wanting to hold an awkward "sex ed. dos and don'ts" conversation when she's trying to get laid.

"Oh, god. He's going to want to do that to me now ..."

But you'd also be surprised by the number of women who are perfectly willing to call a time-out to discuss exactly what the hell was going through your mind just now, like she's a head coach and you're the athlete who made a really stupid play. So don't assume she's into it and then proceed to pummel her puss. Just wait for the invite, then pummel.

#3. Spitting

In general, we could all stand to be a little less weird about bodily fluids. Unless you're equipped with a full-on American Horror Story gimp suit, you are going to get some of the more solvent parts of your partner on you; accept and embrace it. It's a natural part of sex. Spitting, as porn loves to feature, is unnatural, for two reasons.

You, the male spitter, from the female perspective.

One, if you think you're doing it for practical purposes, you should know that saliva is actually a really poor lubricant. You know how when you have chapped lips, you have to fight the urge to lick them, because you know it will just end up making them even drier? Think about that, but with a vagina. You can pause here if you have any apologies to make.

Two, it's legitimately repelling. When you spit in clothed situations, it's to show your disrespect for someone, or because you just put something gross in your mouth. Think about the implications you're making about your partner there. Unless you're doing some kind of racially charged police brutality roleplay, it's kind of insulting.

                                                          "Too real! TOO REAL!"

It's also lazy. Look, anal sex, for example, is a delicate operation, and if that's the care you're going to take with it, suffice it to say I'm having second thoughts about this whole thing. The first dude who spits in my butthole is getting donkey-kicked right off the bed, and I know dudes for whom spitting on their penises is an instant boner-killer. At least be hot about it? If you replace the lazy hocking with some long, slow licking, congratulations, you've actually now performed a sexual act.

Or just be a goddamn adult and buy some lube. It's chapstick for buttholes

#2. Positions That Are Used Only In Porn (For A Reason)

jacojvr/iStock/Getty Images
Gentlemen, we're going to do an exercise. First, lay down on your back. Now put your knees over your ears. Good? Good. Now take a moment to contemplate what led you to this point in your life, where you're twisting yourself into a pretzel on the floor because you decided to play porno Monkey-See-Monkey-Do. All done? Now answer the following questions: How comfortable are you? Say, on a scale from one to "my hamstrings have detached themselves and run away"? How easy do you think it would be to get a boner right now? Try thinking about Christina Hendricks in a hot tub. Boobs just bobbing along on the water. Anything happening down there?
Kraig Scarbinsky/Photodisc/Getty Images
Or, while you're there, learn to blow yourselves and leave us alone.
You have now experienced sex with a man who's watched too much porn. It's a sad fact of life that there's very little overlap between the positions that look the best on camera and the ones that are the most conducive to an actual dicking. The legs-behind-the-ears one is used because everything is visible, but considering that the goal here is to rub things together, its real-world utility is minimal at best. My office is my couch, OK? I am not that flexible. At worst, you're asking for a fart on the balls. I'm sorry, but there are a lot of unsexy organs you're squishing there.
The other most frequent offender is the one where you're going in from behind and riding high, so to speak, which is again a visibility thing. It's so that the cameraman can get that awesome "between the legs" shot. What's happening on the receiving end is that you're being literally fucked sideways. There's a reason that's a curse -- it feels like one, in the "evil sorcerer" sense of the word.

Now, regarding both of these positions, a little angling is a good thing. The key words there are "a little." So please, over-porned guys, you have to remember that if you want to give a woman a vaginal orgasm you want to stimulate the G-spot, not pretend it's a pirate and stab it with a cutlass.

#1. Ass-To-Anywhere

boule13/iStock/Getty Images
Because I assume we're all adults here, I also assume we're all aware that Urban Dictionary is written by 12-year-olds and most of the horrifying sex acts defined there aren't actually part of any adult's sexual repertoire. Unfortunately, there are exceptions. I'm talking, of course, about the fabled "ass-to-mouth" -- that is, butt sex to blowjob.
moodboard/moodboard/Getty Images
The mournful frown of ass-to-mouth.
Everyone with access to the Internet can confirm that ass-to-mouthing does happen, and it's because interrupting the scene to go clean yourself would be kind of a drag (or, if the actress has a really good contract, they are cutting, but you would never know). It just also happens to be a standout among your Dirty Sanchezes and Rusty Trombones in that it's legitimately deadly. You ever hear of E. coli, son? Does the phrase "bloody diarrhea" mean anything to you? How about "brain tapeworm"? Are you absolutely sure you want to risk brain tapeworms because your boyfriend, for some ungodly reason, thinks it's hot when you gobble his bacteria-slathered knob?
altrendo images/Stockbyte/Getty Images
"Tapeworm, you say? Hm. I could stand to lose a few brain pounds ..."
While we're on the subject of penises trying to pull off an Around The World, there's another hole that is, let's say, butthole adjacent, and if you're attacking from the rear, it's real easy to slip back and forth between the two and, by doing so, ruin her whole goddamn night. So it shouldn't be a surprise that if you stick a shitty dick in a vagina, the woman can get a nasty UTI. If the woman you're trying to double-dip with has ever experienced the pain of a UTI, you're legally not allowed to blame her for bowling you over on the way to the bathroom for an Everclear douche.
I'd like to think that most men are sympathetic enough not to want to give a woman a case of fire-piss, so I'm sorry, you're going to have to either take a suds break between holes or pick a flavor and stick with it. Being a mature, adult male sex-haver means learning that when you go for the ass, you put blinders on your dick and you commit to the ass
